The Downtown Detention Center, or DDC, is at 200 James Robertson Pkwy, Nashville, TN 37201. The Administrator is Carla Joseph, and her email is Carla.joseph@nashvillesherriff.gov. The Chief of Security of Security at the jail is Thomas Conrad, and he can be reached at Thomas.Conrad@nashvillesheriff.gov. The jail has a capacity of 762 inmates, and the security status is minimum, medium, and maximum.

The Downtown Detention Center is a state-of-the-art correctional facility, and the safety and security of staff and inmates is the number one priority. There is a medical need at the jail to address complex correctional needs. The Medical Unit opened in May 2020.
The Complex is not currently allowing families to visit from the lobby.

Monday 5:00 am to 9:20 pm
Tuesday 5:00 am. To 9?20 pm
Saturday 8:00 am – 11:20 am
Sunday 8:00 am – 11:20 am

Remote Family Video Visitation Schedule is:
Monday – Sunday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and 7:30 pm – 9:20 pm

The Inmate Commissary can be paid for by deposits to the kiosk in the lobby the DDC. You can also deposit funds online by using the CorrectPay App at www.CorrectPay.com.
